ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6 spoilers: Tamala Jones talks Beckett’s D.C. dilemma

It’s not often that we have a chance to hear anything at all when it comes to “Castle” season 6 at this time of year, so we really have to take advantage of almost every opportunity when something comes down the pipeline. With that in mind, we have a little bit of scoop from Tamala Jones, who is never short of opinion when it comes to the show or her character of Lanie.

One of the biggest cliffhangers leading into the fall is whether or not we’re going to see the Beckett character (played by Stana Katic) make the move over to Washington DC in order to take a job offer, and while we like to hope that a marriage proposal from Castle will help to sway her into staying, you just never know with Beckett? Speaking to TVLine, Jones first of all confirms that if Beckett leaves, everyone else (save for maybe Rick) will stay. She also shared what she hopes will happen with the character:

”The precinct doesn’t go [with her] … I think [Kate] would still help from D.C., or wherever she was. But I hope she doesn’t take the job. What’s Lanie going to do without Beckett in the same [city]? I don’t think Lanie would like that!”

Personally, we would not rule out the idea of Beckett at least trying out a move to the nation’s capital for a time, but whether or not she would be willing to actually stay there is an entirely different issue once she realized just what sort of life it was (i.e. a pretty intense one without much of a support system).
