ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 3 spoilers: Ashely Madekwe confirms departure, speaks out

As we reported earlier this week, the metaphorical bell has tolled for more than just Declan Porter moving into “Revenge” season 3. The news has also been now confirmed that Ashley Madekwe is also saying goodbye in what is a creative decision by the show’s producers in order to freshen up the cast and reduce the part of a character who was not receiving a bevy of screen time anymore.

So what does the actress now have to say about seeing her character leave the show? While we don’t exactly know how Ashley Davenport will be written out of the show just yet, but Madekwe herself said in a post on Twitter that if she is to go, she would like for it to happen in as dramatic of a manner as humanly possible:

“My preference is that Ashley Davenport dies in a blaze of glory. Preferable whilst wearing Valentino couture….Or Chanel. I’m not fussy.”

This could be the actress showing her cards about what is happening to her character, but probably not. Instead, she is really just likely commenting on the fact that she would rather see something dramatic occur than something completely boring and mundane, even if death makes it next to impossible that she could ever return to “Revenge” at any point in the future.
