‘True Blood’ season 6 spoilers: Alexander Skarsgard’s Eric finds an enemy
What is it with problem-causing Governors on sci-fi / fantasy shows these days? We already know full well what David Morrissey is capable of over on AMC’s “The Walking Dead,” and it sounds almost like Arliss Howard’s character of Governor Burrell on “True Blood” season 6 is not going to spend too much time preparing himself to be the resident problem-starter to some of our favorite vampires.
To follow up the synopsis that we shared recently for the season premiere (which is directed by Stephen Moyer), we now have the official take on “You’re No Good,” the second episode of the new season. Based on what HBO is saying here, this will likely be the first appearance of Rutger Hauer as a “relative” of Sookie and Jason Stackhouse (though we have a hard time believing that). Meanwhile, Alexander Skarsgard’s Eric is going to spent quite a bit of time trying to figure out how to take down the Governor before there is any more problems for his people:
“A long-lost relative reveals himself to Jason and Sookie. After Tara is victimized by a new government weapon, Eric takes matters into his own hands in an effort to thwart Burrell’s anti-vampire initiatives. On the road to work, Sookie is drawn to a handsome stranger who shares her faerie abilities. Sam is unnerved by supernatural-rights zealot Nicole (Jurnee Smollett-Bell), and is confronted by Alcide and Martha (Dale Dickey) about Emma’s future. Bill contemplates the scope of his heightened powers.”
So to put things in even more simple terms: Sookie meets a new love interest, there are questions about Emma, and Bill wants to figure out just how awesome his “Lilith” form really is. Got it.
