‘Game of Thrones’ season 3 spoilers: The casting for season 4 begins!

Game of ThronesWell, this certainly did not take very long at all. “Game of Thrones” season 3 has not even finished airing yet, but thanks in part to the crazy way in which production schedules are organized on this show, They are already getting prepared for season 4 (which has been undergoing several stages of the writing process for quite some time now).

So with that in mind, we are bringing out some of the first potential casting news that is worth celebrating. According to TV Guide, the folks behind the scenes at the show are in the process of finding the right actor to play Oberyn, a man who could cause all sorts of trouble for the Lannister family. He will have a major ax to grind against one of the family members, and there will also be plenty of drama and intrigue when it comes to some of the other Lannister’s. He’s described as being strong and cunning, but also has a penchant to take a number of different lovers (this shocks no one).

So when will this character make his first appearance on season 4? We don’t know the answer to that just yet, but filming on the season is likely to really get going at around the early stages of July. Once again, most of it will be concentrated to Northern Ireland, but there will also be some visits made to other parts of the world like always. (King’s Landing, for example, is technically the city of Dubrovnik.)
