‘Game of Thrones’ season 3: Emilia Clarke, Allison Williams of ‘Girls,’ and Shakespeare

Emilia ClarkeIn case you missed the memo at some point, there really is no better place these days for casting agents to get actors for movie roles than the world of HBO. Just look at Kit Harrington in the “Silent Hill” movies, Alexander Skarsgard in anything and everything, Richard Madden booking a part in the upcoming “Cinderella” adaptation, and of course the actors listed in the story ahead.

According to a report from Digital Spy, Emilia Clarke of “Game of Thrones,” who has also spent the past several months working on Broadway’s adaptation of “Breakfast at Tiffany’s,” is currently in line to star as the a character of “Rosaline,” which is the story of the girl that Romeo was infatuated with before he met his eventual love in Juliet.

As for who will take on that title role, the frontrunner at the moment is another HBO star in “Girls” supporting player Allison Williams. The actress, who you may know otherwise for her part as Marnie, has become a pretty hot commodity for movie roles as of late. She’s also been discussed as a possibility to play the Invisible Woman in a reboot of the “Fantastic Four” superhero franchise. We don’t quite know whether or not this will actually happen, but we’ll have our finger to our pulse on it.

Meanwhile, “Game of Thrones” season 3 continues airing on HBO Sunday nights, and “Girls” season 3 is currently filming.

What do you think about these prospective castings, and do you imagine that both Clarke and Williams would do a great job? If you want to take a look at the road ahead on “Game of Thrones” season 3, be sure to head on over to the link here.
