‘Britain’s Got Talent’ results: Did Band of Voices, Philip Green move on to final?

Britain's Got TalentThe first “Britain’s Got Talent” results show aired on Monday, and we have to say that before the show even aired, we had a feeling in the pit of our stomach that this show was going to turn into “Britain’s Got Singers” this season. It’s easy for voters to connect to these people, and despite attempts to connect voters to either Youth Creation or Aaron Crow, Arisxandra had support from One Direction’s Niall Horan on Twitter, and Richard & Adam were trending worldwide after their performance.

So did this end up being true? After a performance from Ellie Goulding (which included “Anything Could Happen”), we then went into the results.

The good news for all of the acts is that there will be a wild card brought back to the final, so the journey is not officially over yet … though it probably is for Martin and his broom.

The results were very predictable. We don’t really see Youth Creation being the winning act, but they were put to the top 3 over a more accomplished Aaron or Band of Voices. The winning artist was Richard & Adam, which comes as no surprise since they did have an opportunity to perform last on the show. (Plus, Britain loves opera.)

It then became the battle of the kids. The judges did what was a nice and fair thing in leaving it up to the voters, mostly because the last thing you want to do is scar any of these little ones for life. This did mean saying goodbye to Youth Creation, which leaves us in a torn position. These two acts were probably the right ones to go through, but we hope that there are some non-singers that can challenge them the rest of the way.

Do you think the right people moved on to the final? We want to hear your thoughts below! Meanwhile, be sure to visit the link here if you want to see our full review of the performance show.
