‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ season 5: An update via Kathy Wakile

In just one week, “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” will be back on Bravo, and we’re starting to get a sense as to what one storyline is going to be, and it revolves Kathy Wakile trying to encourage her sister Rosie Pierri.

In the video below from a recent chat with Andy Cohen, Wakile, who is still one of the two newer (though not exactly new) Housewives along with Melissa Gorga, explains how she is doing now that her sister’s lesbian status is known publicly. For Rosie, it’s a sense of freedom; however, she is still having trouble when it comes to securing dates. The video showcases a discussion about how she’s not interested in trying any more dating sites, since the last time that she gave one of them a shot, the person who she was talking to did not look even remotely close to the woman she advertised herself to be (shocker!)

It’s clear what the appeal is for the Bravo franchise to continue following this story line. While Rosie is not the first lesbian character to be featured in some way on the show, few have a link so direct to one of the ladies that allows them to be in the limelight a little more often. Plus, this gives a completely different flavor to the show, which focuses not only on the LGBT community, but the struggles in general that people have with dating in this modern world where everyone can find out anything and everything via the internet.
