NBC’s ‘The Voice’: Blake Shelton’s ‘Healing in the Heartland’ relief concert adds 3

Blake SheltonThe official lineup of performers is starting to now come together for “Healing in the Heartland,” the Oklahoma relief concert that is going to be airing Wednesday night on NBC across a good many of their various platforms. You already knew that Blake Shelton (who organized the event), his wife Miranda Lambert, Reba McEntire, and Vince Gill were all going to be performing. Now, we’ve learned that a trio of other artists in Luke Bryan, Rascal Flatts, and Ryan Tedder of One Republic (the only non-country act among the bunch) are all going to be hitting the stage as well.

This concert has been put together rather quickly, as Shelton is an Oklahoma native who has continued to live in the state despite touring and starring on “The Voice” over the past several years. He and Miranda first tried to raise money for tornado victims with a performance of “Over You” on the show Tuesday night, but they have since put together this concert and tried to raise more money via social media.

This concert will be held at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, otherwise known as the home of the Oklahoma City Thunder basketball team. This organization, alongside many others in the community, has worked to try and give back to people in need, especially in the town of Moore, which was affected more so than almost everyone else.

Stay tuned, as we will have more on the lineup and other changes to the concert as they are announced, since this is very much still a work in progress.
