‘American Horror Story: Coven’ spoilers: Emma Roberts lands post-‘Delirum’ gig

American Horror StoryLuckily for Emma Roberts, she was not forced to wait very long at all to find work following the news that her Fox pilot “Delirium” was not picked up. Instead, we now know that she is going to be paying a certain Ryan Murphy set a visit on the upcoming season of “American Horror Story: Coven.”

As you may remember from earlier this spring, producers were casting the role of a party girl sort of character named Madison, who was also described as a “Hollywood actress” at least in personality (if not in profession). TVLine is reporting that Roberts had landed the gig, which gives Murphy yet another big-name actress to add to a roster that is growing by the day with famous ladies joining the fold.

Some of the other already expected to appear on the show include Kathy Bates, Patti LuPone, Angela Bassett, and Gabourey Sidibe, who are joining the likes of “AMerican Horror Sotry” vetrans Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Lily Rabe, and returning star Taissa Farmiga. Evan Peters, who has a relationship with Roberts in real life, is the only big-name male actor currently on the cast list.

Murphy has worked with Roberts’ aunt (Julia Roberts) on a number of occasions already, and likely has a good connection with Emma already. Aside from all the links between the two, this is good casting given that she was very strong in “Scream 4,” and has shown some serious acting chops anytime that she has been handed opportunities during her career so far.

What do you think about Roberts’ casting: A good fit, or not so much? If you want to hear what Peters has to say when it comes to the story so far, just be sure to visit the link here.
