‘Grimm’ season 3 spoilers: David Giuntoli on Nick’s road ahead

GrimmOn Tuesday night’s “Grimm” season 2 finale, you had the opportunity to catch quite a few surprises, with one of the most prominent ones being an opportunity to see Nick basically fall victim to a trap, where he could be shipped off to parts unknown in a suspended state. Unfortunately, that’s really where the line of information end since this is the cliffhanger to end all cliffhangers, even to the point where the series’ own leading man is still clueless as to what comes next.

Speaking to TVLine about what Eric Renard may potentially have up his sleeve for Nick as a result of these moves, David Giuntoli tries to speculate (which is really all he can do right now):

“Yeah, we don’t know what Eric Renard has planned for Nick. I don’t know if the writers know, either. But it does not look like it’s a friendly parlor game. It’s going to be bad. It’s a big power play that the Royals are making for Nick, and they have him. They are probably going to ship him off somewhere, and I have no idea how it’s all going to end.”

If you want even more evidence that this is a man who is very much in the dark right now, Giuntoli also explained that he is completely clueless right now when it comes to the state of the script:

“No. I haven’t read it. I don’t know if it’s been written. I’m being honest when I’m saying I don’t even know if the writers quite know. I assume I’m going to be on the show next year.”

While “Grimm” has had the luxury the past few weeks of airing after “The Voice” in a primo Tuesday-night time slot, the show will go back to its standard Friday slot beginning in the fall. This should not impact it much, especially since it has such a DVR-heavy audience in the first place. Thanks to no Olympics, there will also not be an early premiere this time around.
