‘Bates Motel’ season 2 spoilers: Bradley to remain early focus; Norma’s past a key plot
We know, we know: Season 1 of “Bates Motel” just ended, and there’s scoop on the new season already. Don’t worry, we’re not here to give anything substantial away. Instead, this is much more about what Carlton Cuse was willing to say about the episodes ahead, and whether or not we are going to see some significant events come to pass. (Warning: Super-gigantic spoilers ahead! If you decide to read on, you better be prepared for everything that is going to be coming at you.)
When it comes to the Norman Bates storyline, all we can say right now is that his supposed murder of Ms. Watson during the closing minutes of the episode sets him on a dark path, and quite possibly no one is safe. For now, one of his targets could be Bradley based on the physical connection that he has with her and what he thinks is going on between her and his brother Dylan.
Emma could see in the finale that he was still hung up on her, and Cuse explains to The Hollywood Reporter that this is something that we are indeed going to see quite a bit more of in the future:
“Bradley looms large for Norman. This is the first girl he slept with and he idealizes her. His interest in her is has not waned.”
In addition to this little scoop, Cuse explained that the storyline regarding Norma’s own past is far from dead (pun intended). We will meet more and more people who give us a greater understanding as to where Norma came from, and the storyline regarding what happened with brother could be explored.
Stay tuned, and if you want to subject yourself to the “Bates Motel” finale creepiness all over again, just pay a visit over to our story here.
