‘The Bachelorette’: Desiree Hartsock teases ‘love isn’t always happy’
How is this for an ominous way to hype up “The Bachelorette”? In an effort to promote the show this past week, Desiree Hartsock spoke out in a Q&A session with reporters, and based on some of her responses, it may not be fair to guarantee that every step of her romantic journey included some sort of happiness with it.
Specifically, Desiree was asked at one point whether or not she had any regrets or rough experiences, and much like the show tends to create situations that look more dramatic than they actually are, we may have the same sort of thing with this answer:
“I’m glad that I decided to do the show and am satisfied with my decisions throughout. I followed and trusted my heart the best I could. … There are going to be tears, but I wanted to show all my emotions so viewers can really see where I’m coming from. Overall, it’s a journey of love and love isn’t always happy because there are ups and downs as you’re guiding and gauging where the relationship should go.”
You could almost read this response a certain way and believe that Desiree may not have picked anyone at the end of her journey. However, you also have to remember this: No woman has ever done this, and have all been at least happy with the man that they picked for a few months. Heck, Ashley Hebert is still married to the man she picked two years ago, and at least Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez were happy for a time.
