‘Game of Thrones’ season 3, episode 8 preview: What to expect in ‘Second Sons’
We begin things this week with “Second Sons,” an episode that promises to deliver quite a bit when it comes to excitement. Before we get into specifics, let’s start things off by sharing the official synopsis courtesy of HBO:
“King’s Landing hosts a wedding, and Tyrion and Sansa spend the night together. Daenerys meets the Titan’s Bastard. Davos (Liam Cunningham) demands proof from Melisandre. Sam (John Bradley) and Gilly (Hannah Murray) meet an older gentleman.”
Based on this alone, it may be easy to make a number of interesting assumptions. Tyrion looks awfully dressed up (at least for him) in the photo above), so it could be easy to make the assumption that the wedding we are talking about involves him in some way. The only other option is that it is between Cersei and Loras, and we imagine these two may put up even more of a fight.
While the Melisandre story starts to heat up somewhere, the stories that really are going to be worth watching the next few weeks involve the Starks and the Lannisters, perhaps even more so than usual. While there may be a week off following this episode before we have another new one remember this: “Game of Thrones” likes to deliver their biggest shockers a week before the finale. If there is one episode you absolutely have to watch live, this is probably going to be that one.
Want more scoop on the future of “Game of Thrones”? We totally understand, and for now, we encourage you to take part in a new and rather lively debate on just how long this series can last.
