‘The X Factor’ USA: Simon Cowell talks Fifth Harmony, Emblem3, new judges

The X Factor LogoFor whatever reason, Simon Cowell on Twitter reminds us quite a bit of back when Kanye West actually used his account fairly regularly. Why? He will disappear from social media for weeks at a time, but then go on some sort of gigantic tear of random messages only to disappear again.

Luckily, today managed to be Simon’s day as he prepared for the start of the “X Factor” USA audition taping in Charleston, South Carolina. He said first of all that the new judging panel will be announced on Monday, which is great news just from the standpoint of figuring out who will be joining the likes of Demi Lovato, Simon, and host Mario Lopez. Kelly Rowland seems to be a lock right now, while Paulina Rubio (mostly known to Latin audiences) is believed to be one of the other favorites.

Simon also continued to try and pimp out some of his new “X Factor” season 2 groups, who are each still waiting to release their debut albums:

“Nearly finished the fifth harmony album. This is a great record … And the same with emblem 3.”

We are very much at a time right now when Cowell needs one of his acts from the American show to produce some results. Emblem3’s new single “Chloe” has received a little bit of airplay on the top 40 format, but has yet to really have much exposure in a venue that would expose it to a new audience. Meanwhile, Fifth Harmony has yet to release their debut single, and has generated most of their hype through either awards-show appearances or covers that they have released online.

Do you think “The X Factor” has a chance in season 3, or that they have not learned from their past mistakes? If you want to read even more news pertaining to Rowland’s rumored signing-up for the show, you can do so over at the link here.
