Jimmy Kimmel’s ‘The Baby Bachelor’ is extremely twisted … but extremely funny

Somehow, Jimmy Kimmel keeps finding new and creative ways to mock “The Bachelor” franchise.

To be honest, we’re not sure how he and his writers manage to do it time and time again. They traditionally mock some of the show’s stars just about every season while the show is on, and now, just over a week away from the start of Desiree Hartsock’s stint as “The Bachelorette,” we now have something completely and totally new in “The Baby Bachelor.” It is really pretty easy to come up with one word to describe this: Ridiculous. We usually find children comedy spoofs to be incredibly irritating, but for whatever reason this works. Maybe it is the conviction in which Kimmel and company tackle the subject matter, taking you through the various stages of the competition as if we are looking at an ordinary season of the show.

Some of the best jokes in here include a contestant showing up who is a drama queen (mostly because she is having a hissy fit), the youngster in Wesley wanting to marry all of the women in front of him, and there randomly being a 26-year old woman named Ashley thrown into the middle of it. If there is one concern that we have in all this, it’s if some of these girls will really know what is going on when they are sent home at the show’s version of the “rose ceremony” (which we have not actually seen yet).
