‘Elementary’ season 2 spoilers: London calling … but is Sherlock’s dad?

ElementaryOn Thursday, the first season of “Elementary” will come to a close on CBS, and hopefully will also find a way to answer some key questions for fans in the process. Are we really going to see Moriarty, or is this villain going to continue to be left in the shadows? Meanwhile, what will happen next between Sherlock Holmes and the woman he loves in Irene Adler?

During the finale, you will have an opportunity to find out some more details on some of this information. As for the issue of Sherlock’s mysterious and not-particularly-kind father, executive producer Rob Doherty confirms (per The Hollywood Reporter) that this is not a face that we are going to see show up until at least some point in the second season:

“Right now, I don’t think it’s an immediate concern and … I’m not being coy … The London episode might be the perfect time to meet Sherlock’s dad and get a better sense of him and his relationship with his son.”

While it is not even remotely common practice for a show to start disclosing some of their finer plot details for a new season, the exciting announcement that the “Elementary” season 2 premiere will be shot in London led to the following synopsis being released by CBS of what we are going to see:

“Sherlock must face his past when he travels to London to revisit an old case; Watson learns more about Sherlock’s pre-New York life.”

It’s not too revealing, right? With that much evidence if this were a case, it may be one that even Sherlock himself would be unable to solve. If you do want some more scoop on the final episode of “Elementary” season 1, it’s pretty simple to find: Just be sure to hit up the link here!
