Power Book IV: Force season 2 episode 7: Is Tommy vulnerable?
On paper, his story is a little bit interesting just because it differs so much from the typical mold that we get within this show. The vast majority of the time, the goal with a lot of these characters is to do whatever possible in order to ensure that you can amass power and work to get more money and connections. Walter Flynn’s son seems to want nothing more than to get out. He still isn’t over Gloria’s death and feels like everyone around him is toxic — his sister perhaps more than anyone.
So can he work to get immunity and forge a new path? In order to do that, he has to take down Tommy Egan, and the promo for what lies ahead seems to be all about that! We are seeing this man work to infiltrate the CBI, but the biggest issue he probably faces, at least for now, is not even one that he is fully aware of at the moment. This is not an organization that is going to be all that trusting. Why wouldn’t Tommy be sniffing around someone from the Flynn family? He’s as hyper-aware as they come!
If there is any reason to be worried about Tommy’s future at the moment, it is probably tied to the fact that for the first time in a while, he legitimately has something to lose here. This is a guy who has clearly fallen for Mireya and while she knows what it means to be a part of this life, it doesn’t mean she wants to be connected to it. He’s going to try and protect her, and in doing this, he could be more vulnerable.
There are only four more episodes this season — with that in mind, things are going to get brutal. Prepare yourself accordingly.
