‘Survivor Caramoan: Fans vs. Favorites’ interview: Eddie Fox talks edit, playing again
The “Survivor” finale night is a whirlwind for most of the contestants. Let’s try to give a little bit of insight. The reunion show finishes taping at about 8:00 p.m. Pacific time, and following that you have various on-camera interviews at the scene coupled with an adrenaline rush of being on live TV (unless you went home before the jury, which was a completely awful twist on producers’ part this year). By the time you’re done with this, you’re exhausted, and then you go to an after-party and spend time with people you likely haven’t seen much of since filming ended.
What we’re getting at here is that it was around 9:00 a.m. local time when we talked with Eddie Fox (who was on the same call as Erik Reichenbach), and the guy sounded both sick and like he had no sleep at all. This meant for a few pretty short answers, but he still seems like an amigo that would be fun to hang out with in real life.
CarterMatt – So when you were at the final four last night, were you feeling pretty good that you could win anything physical against [Cochran, Dawn, and Sherri]?
Eddie Fox – I was feeling pretty good. I had gotten into a position that was exactly where I had wanted to be, and I thought I had a really good shot at getting into the final three.
So in watching the show back versus being on it, what do you think about your presentation? Do you think everyone got to see the real Eddie?
You saw a good side of me. I’m always happy-go-lucky, and I try to [get along with people]. There was a bit more strategy there on my part, and I got along with everyone really well while I was there. They didn’t show [everything], but I’m fine with that, you know what I mean?
So would you go back and play again?
I’d go back if I was asked. I actually love the game.
