AMC’s ‘The Killing’ season 3 spoilers: Where Linden’s story picks up
On Sunday, June 2, “The Killing” is going to have another chance at life on AMC. The show was left for dead early this year, but thanks to some efforts by the studio and other bigwigs involved, the network found a way to bring back a show that has at times been a favorite for critics around the country, even with the polarizing ending to season 1 in mind.
So where are we going to see the show pick up from here? There will be a new case that surfaces involving a serial killer, but Linden and Holder are not really going to be on the same page at first in order to deal with it. Rather, executive producer Veena Sud tells Entertainment Weekly that the two are going to be in an extremely different sort of place when the story picks up:
“[Linden and Holder] have not seen each other since that day that Sarah walked out of the car and walked down the street and out of her old life.”
Linden will also have quit the force since her time on the Rosie Larsen case, and will have a new job working on a ferry. As for her romantic life, she will have taken on a 25-year old as her lover.
When it comes to how long this story will last, there’s no need to fear about a fake-out coming in the season finale. Rather, Sud explains that this is a story that will be wrapped up in full by the time the last episode airs:
“In season 3, the story lends itself to one season. We’re going to solve it at the end.”
