‘The X Factor’ USA / UK notes: Emblem3 video, James Arthur fun, and Fifth Harmony

The X Factor LogoFor this weekend’s edition of “X Factor” notes, we’re crossing both coasts in an effort to bring you a little bit of everything when it comes to news regarding the franchise.

With that, we start off courtesy of Emblem3’s return back to their home of Huntington Beach, California. The group has been all over America as of late touring and promoting their new single “Chloe,” and it is no surprise at all to see them return home to quite a crowd (as evidenced by their Vine post below). What we like about their strategy of promoting via performing is that they are literally giving fans what they want immediately, and they know that in doing this while spontaneously working to release new music, they have an opportunity to have a larger following requesting these songs on the radio. Considering that no “X Factor” alum in America has really had a smash hit, these acts really need to try just about everything that they can.

Fifth Harmony meets Ariana Grande – While Emblem3 has toured, Fifth Harmony is still working on a catalog of music in Los Angeles so that they can tour later. As for promotional appearances, awards shows have been some of their key venues. They appeared last month at the Kids Choice Awards, and over this weekend, they stopped by the Radio Disney Awards, where they had an opportunity to meet a young singer in Ariana Grande who is currently working up the charts.  In a post on her Instagram, here is what Grande had to say about meeting the girls:

“6th harmony? ☺ These girls are the sweetest. Nice meeting you. Lets have a slumber party.”

Finally, UK news! – Are we going to see Rylan Clark and James Arthur really try out for the show again? That answer is “no,” but the two, coupled with another member of Nicole Scherzinger’s team, are joking about the idea of going on the show again to spend time together. In a post on Twitter, here is what Rylan (who is rumored to be the new co-host for “The Xtra Factor”) had to say about the idea:

“@JamesArthur23 @JahmeneDouglas right us 3 are going back to @TheXFactor as a Boyband… “The Scherzy Boys” lets do this…. X”

Scherzinger has not been confirmed to be returning to the show as a judge, but in spite of all of the rumors, we still feel pretty confident that it will happen given how much it can help her career.  If you want to read some more “X Factor” news about Emblem3 and Little Mix, you can do so over at the link here.
