‘Saturday Night Live’: Watch Kate McKinnon, Ellen DeGeneres in the same room

Saturday Night Live LogoYou have to give some credit to Ellen DeGeneres: She makes good on her promises. Back when Kate McKinnon first performed a sketch on “Saturday Night Live” mocking the daytime TV host, she invited her to come on in order to have a little bit of fun in the future.

Well, with the NBC comedy show on hiatus until the upcoming show a week from Saturday, this proved to be the perfect opportunity for her to do reconnect with Ellen. McKinnon was on “Ellen” earlier this week, and indulged us with a little bit of a side-by-side comparison.

Interestingly enough, the funniest part of this entire video below is not when Ellen is having a conversation with herself, but instead it’s the physical comedy that the two really have down. The antics back and forth here between the two are supremely entertaining, as KcKinnon (who, along with Cecily Strong, is our favorite addition to the cast from the past two years) plays into all of Ellen’s mannerisms and goofy behavior to perfection.

There are only a few new “SNL” episodes left for the season, and the upcoming host is going to be Zach Galifianakis along with musical guest Miguel. While there are still some questions out there, we’re sure that the finale will either be hosted by an extremely big name, or someone who has been on the show a number of times before. (Personally, we’d be game for a whole Steve Martin show, or to just bring back Justin Timberlake or Melissa McCarthy again, even if they were just on a matter of a few weeks ago.)
