‘Bones’ season 8 finale spoilers: Check out the first teaser!

Did you think that Monday night’s “Bones” season 8 episode “The Pathos in the Pathogens” was intense? Then you have not seen anything yet. Next week marks the grand finale for this collection of episodes, and it means that the show’s most notorious villain is going to be back for more carnage: Pelant.

Without them even knowing, this serial killer has been watching Booth and Brennan in order to figure out when is the right time for him to make his big move, and based on what we are seeing, he has of course picked a time that is supposed to be happy for the couple. After all, is Brennan starting to look like she is finally starting to open up to having a future with Booth as a wife? It sure seems like it.

We already know that Pelant is a man motivated first and foremost by revenge, and so the fact that Booth is his target makes sense. Unfortunately, we don’t know just yet whether or now Bones is going to be able to save him. It’d be a rather lonely season 9 if she fails, and even if she does manage to keep him protected, there is no guarantee that she will manage to get her arch-enemy behind bars. Just think back to all of the times that you were sure Pelant was going to be taken down, and then all of the cries of frustration when you realized that he found a way to weasel himself out of trouble yet again.
