‘Continuum’ season 2 preview: A new trailer and words from Rachel Nichols
On Sunday night at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time, Showcase is going to blow the lid off season 2 of “Continuum.” While we’ve had an opportunity to see the premiere, we’re bound to not spoil anything on it save for saying that if you enjoyed the first go-around, you are sure to be satisfied with the direction they are going.
Before the show airs, we have a few things that you may want to take note of. First of all, we have the new trailer below that was shown off in Vancouver during the city’s Fan Expo this weekend. “Continuum” has been a staple of these conventions thus far, as the show was also present at the similar event in Toronto this past year.
Meanwhile, we also had an opportunity to speak with Rachel Nichols earlier this week, and she told us that preparing for this season was a pretty intense process, and she really needed to rely on some of those relationships made during the first go-around in order to get the work done in a pretty short span of time.
“… [I landed in Canada on] the 21st [of January], spent whatever time at the airport getting my work via through, and then sat down at the cast dinner to read the first two episodes. It was coming home to this great family, and the crew was the same way. I showed up to the first day of shooting, and 90% of our crew was back. It feels great, because you know that they wanted to come back, and they have that shorthand already. We really hit the ground running, which is great given that with the time we spent filming these episodes and the turnaround to episode 1 airing on Showcase, we really needed to already have that shorthand going and have those relationships already forged. It was nice to come back and say ‘oh, hey family. This is great! Let’s do season 2.”
