‘Mad Men’ season 6, episode 4 preview: The facade continues
You have to love the sense of irony that “Mad Men” has a tendency to ooze out of almost every pore. For example, just take a look at the title for Sunday night’s new episode: “To Have and To Hold.” Is there anything about some of these people that at all projects that these sort of vows are being kept? Hardly. Infidelity instead runs like the Nile, and as a matter of fact, the amount of cheating going on between Don Draper and Pete Campbell has been one of the season’s great criticisms thus far: that nothing ever changes.
At least we know this week that Don and Megan are going to put on a good face. After Don was forced into eating dinner last week with his secret mistress Sylvia after her husband and his own wife Megan each had to back out of the meal, it appears as though Jessica Pare’s character has managed to muster up the strength to go out to eat / smoke again. She clearly looks to us in the photo attached here to be much more engaged in what is going on, while Don merely is doing his best impression of “polite.”
The story for the week at work is expected to once again revolve around some accounts new and old, with one of the more intriguing stories being the epic battle that is being set up between Don and his former protegee Peggy Olson. This is something that we said we were desperate to see ever since before the season started, so to actually witness it happening now is quite a joy.

I want to see affection again. Darkness can only be tolerated for so long by people before the people watching it sours to the effect that they must stop watching.
