‘Game of Thrones’ season 3, episode 4 preview: Jaime and Brienne’s journey continues

On Sunday night’s “Game of Thrones” season 3 episode, there is going to be quite a bit worth looking forward to. However, we also have a feeling that the one storyline that already has everyone talking (and will continue to do is) is the one regarding Jaime Lannister and Brienne. After all, these are the two characters that have formed the oddest and most intriguing relationship out there, and dare we say that there is a part of us hoping that they hook up at some point.

Sunday night’s new episode is entitled “And Now His Watch Is Ended,” and while we cannot give away specifics about their storyline, let’s just say that the loss of Jaime’s hand is going to force him more than ever to rely on the woman sworn by Catelyn to protect him, even if her mission is just to use him as a bargaining tool. Jaime may not like this, but in the process of this story he will hopefully realize that there are other ways in which to go about life, and relying solely on looks and his father’s money is not the best option for him any more.

“The Night’s Watch takes stock. Varys meets his better. Arya is taken to the commander of the Brotherhood. Daenerys exchanges a chain for a whip.”

That’s not much of a giveaway, is it? The two things that are the most interesting here is the idea of Varys finding an information broker better than he is (and it is pretty easy to guess who this is based on a scene from earlier this episode), and Dany potentially giving in further to some immorality in order to get what she wants down the road.
