‘True Blood’ season 6 spoilers: Ryan Kwanten teases major deaths

As you may have heard recently, there are some pretty major developments coming up on the upcoming sixth season of “True Blood.” Not only are there going to be new love interests and storylines, but there are also going to be some pretty significant departures.

Just how significant are we talking about here? For now, series star Ryan Kwanten is keeping mum on the details, but he tells E! News that there are some pretty “major deaths” coming up. Now, it should be noted that the cast and crew are still in production on some of these episodes. It’s pretty rare to hear anyone speak out about major deaths while the show is actually still being filmed, which makes us think that this could really be something that throws viewers for a loop.

So what could it be? This is the point in the series’ run where big players do fall; it happened with Ryan Hurst on “Sons of Anarchy” season 5, and it could certainly happen to a series regular here. The only people we would really rule out at this point are Sookie Stackhouse (given that it’s hard to really have much of a show without her), and Tara, given that there was recently a massive cliffhanger about her almost dying. Why go back to that well again?

Of course, it certainly doesn’t help that an upcoming episode title suggests that there is a funeral coming up on the show very soon…
