ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 5, episode 21 preview: Stana Katic plays trapped

Next week’s episode of “Castle” certainly promises to be dramatic, as we are going to see Beckett in a much more precarious situation than she has been in ever since the start of season 4: she will be stuck literally on a plate, and one wrong move will lead to a deadly detonation.

So are we looking at the last minutes of Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic’s characters together? We’re still optimistic that there is a solution out there to keep her safe, but it is not going to come without some sort of serious teamwork and even some distraction. The more you think about situation as scary as this is, the worse off you may be in the end. The promo below for the episode (entitled “Still”) almost suggests that we could be seeing some flashbacks, which are appreciated so long as this doesn’t become a recap episode.

Just for added reference if you have not seen it already, the following is the official synopsis via ABC:

“Beckett’s life is on the line when she steps on a pressure sensitive bomb. While the team searches for a way to disarm the explosive, Castle distracts Beckett by arguing with her about who fell for whom first.”

Hopefully, the two are also going to use this time to work a little bit on building their relationship together. It’s clear already that they’ve went through a lot, and the last major hurdle they need to overcome is Beckett really getting an opportunity to see who this man is on the inside.
