‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 4 spoilers: Prom scoop for Nina Dobrev, Candice Accola

Are you ready for the big “Vampire Diaries” prom? Let’s hope so, since the wait is almost over. On Thursday night, the show will return with what should be a pretty interesting episode in “Pictures of You,” especially when you consider that this episode revolves around an event that almost every high schooler out there looks forward to in some shape or form: prom.

Of course, you have to imagine right away that this is not going to be your ordinary school dance, mostly because nothing on this show ever is. As a matter of fact, most of the proms hosted by the town of Mystic Falls end up being disasters, and there’s no reason to suspect that this one will be any different. As a matter of fact, Zap2It claims that by the time that this episode comes to a conclusion, we are going to see a pretty unhappy Damon Salvatore.

What else can you expect? Here are a few assorted teasers for some of your favorite characters.

1. Nina Dobrev is going to have her hands busy playing both Elena and Katherine, but in an unusual move for the former, she is actually coming to a dance without a date in tow. (However, both Salvatores are going to be keeping close watch on her.)

2. There may be a moment coming up between Caroline and Stefan; that doesn’t mean that Candice Accola’s character is going to hook up with him, but it certainly is better than nothing.

3. Love Rebekah? Well, get ready to see a new side of her this week.

4. Whatever happens here has to set up the “Originals” backdoor pilot airing next week, so we can’t see any of this first family of vampires getting too comfortable.
