‘Bates Motel’ episode 5 preview: The conflict of Norman Bates
If you did not believe already that “Bates Motel” was delivering when it comes to drama, you certainly started to following Monday night’s new episode. This was a pretty landmark hour when it comes to surprises, as we’re pretty sure at this point that none of the characters are going to be the particularly safe from either drama or disdain – especially Norma.
For Monday night’s new episode “Ocean View,” we’re going to start things off with a murder charge, a denial, questions of whether or not Norman Bates really cares about his mother, and also him telling a certain someone that they really shouldn’t see each other for a while. There are also some accusations in here that someone is driving a wedge between Norman and Norma, which Freddie Highmore’s character firmly denies.
Be sure to check out the full synopsis for this episode below:
“Norma receives some much-needed help, while Norman desperately awaits his mother’s return home; Emma and Norman follow more clues, leading to a big discovery.”
So what is this discovery? There is no indication right now that we are going to learn this or anything else about the women in the book by the time this episode comes to a close. All we have to say for the time being is this: so long as the quality continues to be so high, we’re going to stay firmly glued to the TV waiting for the next major twist.
