‘The Amazing Race 22’ preview: Cheese and Chuck’s lament

Something tells us that for the first several weeks on “The Amazing Race 22,” Chuck & Winona weren’t really thinking so much about their long-term survival in the game as they were just trying to make sure that they didn’t get eliminated early on. After all, the physically-stronger of the two in Chuck ended up doing the lion’s share of the roadblocks, and thanks to the “Chip & Kim” rule (as we call it from their season), teams have to be evenly-split by the finale when it comes to their duties.

While Winona has been able to do some of the past few challenges without too many problems, we have a feeling that this is going to be changing on Sunday night’s new episode. Why? We don’t know for sure that this is a roadblock, but we do have video footage of Winona trying to scale the side of a snowy cliff all by herself. For someone who has admitted that she is not in the best shape of everyone in the game, this is not going to be easy at all.

Meanwhile, there will be much more going on in this episode beyond just this. Teams will have to do their part in transporting cheese, and we will also see a visit from some wonderful dogs in Saint Bernards. We’re a big believer that “The Amazing Race” is always infinitely more entertaining when animals find a way to get involved, so it is hard for us to be even remotely upset about this.
