‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 4 finale spoilers: Nina Dobrev, Candice Accola’s big leap
All season long on “The Vampire Diaries,” one of the biggest themes has been change … especially if you are talking about Nina Dobrev’s character of Elena. She started things off this year by trying to adapt to being a vampire, and since that time she has also been forced to learn what life is like without her brother Jeremy, and also what it feels like to turn her humanity switch to the “off” position.
So what is next for her? After going through all of this, graduating from high school and looking to the future may not be so bad. According to KSiteTV, the final episode of season 4 is going to be titled “Graduation,” and it will be preceded by an hour curiously titled “The Walking Dead.” In case you were wondering why Steven R. McQueen and Matt Davis were both presumably returning to the show, this is probably why. (It also makes a little bit of sense given what we have seen as of late with the Silas storyline.)
So where will such characters as Elena, Caroline (Candice Accola), and Matt (Zach Roerig) go from here? In the case of the latter, he at least has the opportunity to leave Mystic Falls and start a new life somewhere else without vampires and a constant fear of dying. (We’d jump on that in a heartbeat if we were him.) However, the other two are either going to have to consider living an underground life that is dark and dangerous, or to try and move forward as normal people with a terrible secret. It’s a tough thing to figure out, especially since this is usually a pretty confusing time for most people in the first place.
What do you think about these two episode titles, and is there anything in particular that you believe is going to happen on the show? Be sure to share some of your thoughts, and you can read some scoop from Paul Wesley on what is coming up for Stefan over at the link here.
