NBC’s ‘The Office’ season 9, episode 19 preview: A brief tease of Roseanne Barr
While it’s understandable to be sad that “The Office” will be over after nine seasons in just over a month in a half, we’re at least going to be getting a chance to watch new episodes every week until arriving at that time, beginning with the episode entitled “Stairmageddon” on Thursday night. We originally described this episode as a pretty smart idea, and one that we were honestly surprised that they have not tried to go for previously. After all, hasn’t every officer worker been in a situation where the elevator stops working and you’re forced to embark on a hike up the stairs.
However, the first promo for this show (which also contains some footage for the “Community” puppet episode) does not really talk at all about the stair plot save for some brief footage of Stanley falling on his face; however, it does give us a quick look at Roseanne Barr, who will be playing the part of a talent agent this week for Andy Bernard. Ed Helms’ character is desperate to go into showbiz after seeing himself featured in some of the promos for the upcoming documentary, which has apparently led to him convincing himself that he is capable of so much more.
Do we have any confidence at all that this is going to end well for Andy? Not really, and this is probably why it will be so entertaining. He’s a guy who never really manages to get it all together, and this may be yet another example of this very thing.
