‘All-Star Celebrity Apprentice’: Donald Trump drops suit against Bill Maher … for now

Donald TrumpAs it turns out, it seems as though Donald Trump is not going to be getting his $5 million for charity from Bill Maher … at least for now. The man behind “All-Star Celebrity Apprentice” recently made the move to file suit against the “Real Time” host, claiming that he did not hold up to his end of an agreement when he said he would donate the money to charity of Trump would prove that he was not a descendant of an orangutan. (This whole ordeal came about as a result of Trump’s demand that he would donate the same amount to charity if President Obama would reveal his birth certificate.)

Now, TMZ is saying that Trump has dropped the suit for the time being. There is no given reason as to why. Maher has always contended that there was really no case ever present here for Trump to fight for, since he was obviously just being satirical in his remarks.

So does this mean that this case is finally closed? Not necessarily, as Trump sources say that they are working to tweak the case so that it can be filed at a later date. As for whether or not this date actually comes, we’ll keep you posted.

While Trump may not having the best of luck with lawsuits these days, the good news is that “All-Star Celebrity Apprentice” will continue airing new episodes on NBC Sunday nights.

What do you think about this news, and do you think that we will actually see Trump file this again in the future to take Maher down a notch? Be sure to share your thoughts below, and you can read some more news when it comes to the Maher / Trump feud over at the link here.
