‘The Amazing Race 22’ preview: Who gets busted for speeding?

Caroline and JenniferSometimes on “The Amazing Race,” it can be difficult to keep track of everything that is going on around you. You have to keep track of your stuff, read the clues, get directions to a given place, and also make sure you follow all local laws in the process. When speed limit signs are unfamiliar or in different languages, this can often be a little more difficult.

We don’t know what the reason is that Caroline & Jennifer end up violating one of the rules on Sunday night’s new episode, but they end up getting stopped by local authorities while (presumably) still in Djibouti, and end up being told that they’re receiving a ticket for the violation. They try to beg their way out of it, but instead they end up being taken to a supervisor in order to plead their case. Their “we didn’t know what the speed limit was” argument holds some water, but the local police probably are not going to really care when they have to keep the roads safe.

So will this mean much of a delay for the country singers? Probably not, at least so long as they don’t have to do anything else related to this. This may only be about 15-20 minutes out of the leg that they are stuck here, and the only trouble could be if they have to pay for the ticket using their funds for the leg. (Then again, we still think it’s possible that they’ll be left off with a warning.)

Do you think this mistake could cause these two to be in jeopardy of going home? If you want to see where we’ve ranked all of the teams going into Sunday night’s new episode, you can see it over at the link here.
