Lindsay Lohan to sit down with David Letterman; this should be fun…

Late ShowTypically, there is nothing particularly interesting about announcing that a celebrity is going to be appearing on a late-night TV show. After all, you don’t know what is remotely going to happen yet, and the interview could just end up being something that is stuffed full of softball questions in order to appease a guest.

However, we have a hard time imagining that this will happen on April 9, when Lindsay Lohan (per Just Jared) stops by “The Late Show with David Letterman” for an appearance. This visit will surely be in support of the troubled star’s upcoming gig on “Anger Management,” which will be airing on TV two days later. Lohan will be playing basically an exaggerated version of herself on the show, as she ends up getting wrapped up in some sort of relationship with Charlie Sheen’s Charlie Goodson. (Yes, this is probably going to be very awkward.)

What is particularly curious to us about this appearance, which will be only a short time before Lohan enters a treatment center as a result of a recent sentence, is that she picked Letterman rather than another late-night in New York City in Jimmy Fallon who would certainly have given her an easier interview. While Dave is very entertaining for viewers, he is also a noted antagonist to many of his guests when they have something in their life that they don’t want to talk about. He famously angered Paris Hilton for repeatedly bringing up her time in jail during an interview, and he also jokingly claimed to Selena Gomez that he made her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber “cry” during their last chat.

Do you think that we are going to see an incredibly entertaining interview here? Be sure to share some of your thoughts below, and you can also sneak a peek at Lohan’s “Anger Management” appearance over at the link here.
