‘Justified’ season 4 finale spoilers: Joelle Carter teases possible death
It wouldn’t be “Justified” if the show did not go down swinging, on Tuesday night, you can expect to see one of the most powerful episodes yet in the season 4 finale. There will of course be plenty of action as Raylan and Boyd’s stories come to a close for the time being, but there are also plenty of questions when it comes to some of the other characters.
One such question we have is rather simple: what in the world is going to happen to Ava Crowder? Speaking to TVLine’s “Spoiler Alert,” Joelle Carter (kudos on the last name) said that “something bad is going to happen to Ava,” but stopped short of saying that her characters specifically is going to be biting the dust. However, she did say that we would see at least one fatality within the first ten minutes of the episode, and it is certainly possible that there are more that take place down the line.
Considering all of the development of Boyd and Ava over the past few years, complete with Walton Goggins’ character coming forward and saying how lost he would be without Ava in his life, it would be beyond tragic to see an end to Carter’s character on the show. We like seeing Boyd with the odds stacked against him, but we definitely don’t wish for something this terrible to come his way before the season comes to a close.
The good news here is that we at least don’t have to have any anxiety over whether or not this will be the show’s last season: “Justified” has already been renewed for a season 5, which will air on FX at some point in early 2014.

Well this season final will surely make it hard to wait 9 months. There will have to be a couple of surprises due to the fact that there are a couple plot lines to follow. So will Ava get killed or caught/arrested? Shot and in critical care? We know that neither Rayland nor Boyd will die causes there wouldn’t be a 5th season if they were. Will Rayland loose his family? If he does next season will surely be about revenge on those responsible. If Boyd loose Ava it will be the same thing revenge. So Boyd, Ava have informed the Detroit mob about Winona and she is in harms way. They still want Drew and Ella Mae. No surprise if either of them die though. We can’t forget cousin Johnny. There is no doubt that a few Detroit mobsters will be killed, but will it include Mr. Augustine?
Drew and Ella Mae could be shipped of to witness protection with the knowledge which is certainly bad for Ava and Boyd and Drew’s knowledge is bad for the boss(es) of the Deteoit mob.
With Winona involved we could loose a marshal, but which one?
Well I can’t wait for Tuesday except that its the season final and I will be left with all kinds of new questions, but that’s how they get us hooked.
