‘Bates Motel’ episode 2 spoilers: Norman Bates and his brother face off over Norma

In the original Alfred Hitchcock film “Psycho” we really didn’t learn a lot about Norman Bates’ history except that he had some serious problems with women and a very strange intimate relationship with his mother. On the new A&E series “Bates Motel”, fans of the film are afforded a rare opportunity to get to know Norman Bates on a much deeper level.

The masterminds behind the show have decided to change a few things up like the time period of when Norman Bates would have actually been a teenager, but since little else is really known about his character, they have been able to play around with a few different aspects of his life – like giving Norman an older half brother named Dylan. We have already seen on the premiere episode that Norma and Dylan have a rather strained relationship.  He only calls her when he wants something or is in some sort of trouble, and Norma has had enough of being used and abused by Dylan, so she no longer helps him, but is there something even deeper going on between these two?

On the next new episode of “Bates Motel” called “Nice Town You Picked, Norma” we will see Dylan come to the motel, because he is in trouble once again and has no where to turn to.  When his mother calls his cell phone and a rather unflattering name comes up on the display, Norman loses his temper in a big bad way and the brothers get into a serious physical fight in the kitchen, leaving Dylan worried that Norman isn’t all together sane.

The next new episode of “Bates Motel” airs on tonight at 10 p.m. on A&E, so be sure to tune in and see what happens when Norman and Dylan face off over Norma.
