‘Mad Men’ season 6 spoilers: Do the episode titles reveal plot?

Mad MenJust like everyone else we are on pins and needles waiting for the “Mad Men” season 6 premiere on April 7th and the wait feels even longer now that the cast has been teasing the new season, but won’t actually reveal anything.

Now three of the episode titles for “Mad Men” season 6 have been revealed and we are digging deeper into those titles in hopes to figure out some of the story line.  The first title for the two hour premiere is called “The Doorway” which could mean a really big change coming for Don Draper.  When we last saw Don he was sitting by himself at a bar and an attractive woman came up to him and asked him if he was alone.  We know that the question of “did Don cheat with this woman” will be answered at some point during the season, but with the premiere title being “The Doorway” we are thinking we might get an answer to that question sooner rather then later.  The new artwork for season 6 has a married Don Draper looking back at a version of himself from the past – is this a doorway he wants to reopen and walk through?

The next episode title is going to be called “The Collaborators” and we think will be focused on SCDP.  We know that Lane Pryce’s suicide affected the office is a pretty bad way and although the company is doing fairly well, his death has brought a real sense of mortality to the group.  It’s likely some of the group with  buck up and move forward while others may not leaving the company divided, so this might be the episode where they have to find a way to start working together again as a team.

The last episode title is “To Have and to Hold” – is someone getting married?  A lot has changed from “Mad Men” season 5 and there will be a bit of a time jump.  The group will be in 1969 where things are changing at a rapid pace.  With Joan and Roger having a baby together, and fans rooting for these two to get together for  5 seasons, it might be the right time for them to take the plunge and get married.  Another person we want to see find love is Peggy Olson – maybe the writers are finally going to throw the girl a bone and marry her off?

“Mad Men” season 6 returns to AMC on Sunday, April 7th at 9 p.m. for a special 2 hour premiere, so be sure to tune in and see what’s in store for Don Draper.  Do you think Don cheated?  Will Don and Megan stay married?  Leave us a comment and tell us what you think is going to happen.
