‘The X Factor’ USA notes: Carly Rose Sonenclar, Fifth Harmony, Emblem3

The X Factor LogoWe just finished up talking about some of what is going on over on “The X Factor” UK, so with that in mind, why not take a jump back to the United States for some stories breaking pertaining to the cast of the American show?

Let’s start things off with the big news coming from Los Angeles: Fifth Harmony had a chance to attend the Kids Choice Awards! You can see a photo of the girl group on the traditionally-orange carpet (which was actually purple this year) by heading on over to their official Instagram page. While the ladies did not perform or play a significant role in the broadcast, this was a smart opportunity for them to connect with some young fans, network, and be seen in a place that also features the likes of Katy Perry, Selena Gomez, Adam Sandler, and many more.

Vote for Carly – Since Carly Rose Sonenclar recently shared a link towards a new competition (on Ryan Seacrest’s official site) all about the best Beyonce cover in recent memory, we thought we’d do the same. Her take on “If I Were a Boy” is listed there, and you can vote just by clicking here.

While there’s no real prize for the winner other than the title, these sort of polls are a great way for scouts, managers, labels, and the like to know the true measure of someone’s fan following. If there are people who are willing to vote for you frequently on a poll, there will also be people willing to go and pick up your album down the road.

Emblem3 talk East Coast trip – The boys of Emblem3 are currently in the process of wrapping up a series of shows in the east coast and midwest regions of the country, and they took to their blog this weekend to share some of their experiences.

You can read all of it here, as this is jump a sample of what the boys wrote:

“We’re just two [shows] in to our East Coast tour and we can pretty much tell you this is one of the coolest things any of us have ever done. The shows in Philadelphia and New York City the past two days have been some of our best yet – and every single one of our fans we’ve met has been amazing. You guys are seriously the best. Who else would wait outside radio stations and venues in the freezing cold just to hang out with us? Emblems, that’s who.”

If you do want to read some of those “X Factor” UK notes (which include work on James Arthur along with Nicole Scherzinger), you can do so over at the link here.
