‘Arrow’ spoilers: How will Tommy react to Oliver Queen’s secret?

After a few weeks off the air, “Arrow” returns to The CW Wednesday night in hopes of answering a very important question: how in the world will Oliver and Tommy move forward following what was a pretty devastating revelation about The Hood’s real identity? We have a feeling that this is not going to be easy.

Speaking in an interview with TV Guide teasing Wednesday’s confrontation, the man behind Tommy in Colin Donnell teases that there are going to be a number of reactions that his character has to this news. First, he explained that there is going to be shock that his longtime friend has been running around town as a vigilante:

“It’s going to change pretty much everything … Really, Tommy is the only one who reacts to Oliver’s news in a way that a normal human being might. Just because he’s doing good things doesn’t change the fact that he’s doing them in a really harsh and sometimes unforgiving way.”

In following this up, there is also going to be a little bit of anger when you remember that Laurel has helped out Oliver’s alter ego on a few occasions already, and knowing that these two still have a connection is something that will be hard for Tommy to handle:

“He’s going to look at that relationship in a different way. There’s a little bit of jealousy; there’s a little bit of fear. It changes how he views her interactions with Oliver. It’s not necessarily a good thing for Tommy.”

At the end of the day, Tommy will know that he has the power to break Oliver’s secret to the world, and the remaining episodes of the season simply become a question as to whether or not he really wants to do that.
