ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 2, episode 16 review: Who is the Falcon?

About forty minutes into Sunday night’s new episode of “Revenge,” Nolan uttered what may have been the truest line of the season so far: Emily Thorne had her “hands full.” Boy, did she ever this week. Not only was she trying to deal with an angry Jack Porter, but the arrival of Amanda Clarke’s own foster brother Eli threw a major wrench into the system. After all, he knew her a little later in life than Jack did, and thus wasted no time at all in figuring out that Emily was not who she was selling herself as to the residents of the Hamptons.

At first, it looked as though Emily was going to be able to convince Eli to skip down thanks to one simple thing: the power of a dollar. She offered the man 100,000 of the them, plus having his entire criminal record erased, if he would leave town in return. Unfortunately, what he ended up doing instead was taking the money, giving it to Victoria, and helping to “run” the foundation in the fake Amanda Clarke’s name. Talk about trouble! Sadly, the jury’s still out on what is going to happen.

To make matters worse, Emily had to deal with both of her past exes (in Jack and Daniel) having some major crises. Daniel was struggling with the knowledge that his parents were basically using their foundation in order to hide all of their illegal activity inside of it. It was through a conversation between him and Emily that allowed her to think of a new plan: use Nolan’s super-computer in order to bankrupt the family. Nolan was confident that he would be to do it, but then, he ran into a ghost from his own past: the Falcon, the only hacker who really has the same skills that he does. He is on the Grayson’s payroll, and this means trouble.

As for Jack, Nolan tried to convince him that it was actually one of the Ryan brothers who rescued him through what was a pretty dramatic change of heart. Did it work? Sadly, we don’t know the answer to this yet.
