The White Lotus season 2 episode 7 (finale): Who died?
The funny thing here is that no matter what happens in this finale, clearly the bar is set pretty high. How in the world do you top the utter insanity that was present at the end of season 1? These deaths could be a murder, but we also thought coming into this there was a chance of it being an accident. Daphne was the one to discover the first dead body, and her reaction seemed to suggest that the deceased wasn’t someone she had a super-close relationship to. There have been crazy theories aplenty, whether it be Daphne as the assassin or that Albie, Dominic, and Bert all get killed by Alessio, who Lucia has been running from here and there this season.
Rest assured, in this article we’re going to give you some answers as the finale goes along.
The first bit of shocking news – Harper, Ethan, and Cameron survived! Oddly, Harper and Ethan were brought closer together through all of the messiness and chaos.
The next bit of shocking news – Tanya was actually the killer! She is the one who shot Quentin and his associates, thinking that they were there in order to kill her. She had seemingly figured out that Greg had hired them to murder her and they would split the inheritance money.
The even more shocking news – Tanya is dead. She tried to escape on the smaller boat, missed, and fell into the ocean, where she eventually drowned. That was the body that Daphne discovered in the ocean. While the other deaths aren’t so consequential, losing Tanya is enormous. She was the through-line for the whole series!
So yea, Mike White chose violence when coming up with this ending. That we know for sure. What a shocking, spectacular conclusion to this story.
