NBC’s ‘The Office’ season 9 finale spoilers: Dakota Johnson to guest star
Fans of “The Office” will be sad to know that this week the cast officially finishes filming and cast members from the show have been posting messages and pictures on their Twitter accounts all week about it.
Mindy Kaling (who has been busy with her new show “The Mindy Project”) will be returning to “The Office” before it’s all over to reprise her role as Kelly Kapoor. She posted a message on her Twitter account telling fans that she would be back with the “Office” crew over the weekend. She wrote: “Wish I was in Austin watching @kittaveli and wearing jean shorts. BUT it is worth it to film #theoffice tomorrow w/the gang! #sundayshoot.”
Rainn Wilson also reminded fans that “The Office” was coming to an end when a fan said they were coming to Los Angeles next week and wanted to stop by the set of “The Office” and Wilson replied by saying: “Theres no Office 2 visit next week!” John Krasinski posted a photo of the series finale script on his Twitter account, saying: “Wow… Last table read of the last script of The Office in one hour. Don’t even know what to say…” to which Jenna Fischer responded: “I cried twice yesterday just thinking about it!”
There is some good news coming up concerning the finale – it’s not all tears and tissues. Dakota Johnson (from “Kate and Ben” fame) will be guest starring on the finale. We don’t know what role she will be playing just yet, but her mother, Melanie Griffith couldn’t be happier about the casting. She tweeted: “My daughter is filming the finale of The Office! #proudmama”
What most people are hoping is that the Jim and Pam story line is going to have an ending that leaves fans feeling satisfied. After watching their relationship grow and change over the past 9 seasons, it’s been pretty difficult watching them on the verge of break up for most of this season, including a side storyline of Brian the documentary sound guy growing closer and closer to Pam. No one wants to see Jim and Pam break up and we are positive that NBC wouldn’t be cruel enough to break them up and cause an “Office” revolt from viewers, but is there enough time between now and the one hour series finale airing on Thursday, May 16th to get their relationship back on track without it feeling rushed?
Will Jim and Pam divorce? Will Dwight and Angela finally get together? Leave us a comment and tell us what you hope to see in the finale.
