‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 4: Torrey DeVitto shares her hopes for Melissa Hastings

While we’ve spent so much time with “Pretty Little Liars” as of late talking about the knockout performance of Troian Bellisario as Spencer Hastings, there have been some times where simultaneously the arrival of her big sister Melissa has gone relatively unnoticed. She tried to be the one to help Spencer prior to her parents showing up, and she has been there for her in the past; however, time and time again we have seen her front and center with stories questioning her motives, the people that she knows, and why she often decides to keep secrets from everyone close to her.

It looks like Melissa’s story for season 3 is far from over, and based on what Torrey DeVitto said recently in a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, there is also certainly plenty of exciting things coming up for the character, as well. Specifically, she stated the following about her season 4 hopes:

“I want to get a better grasp on Melissa. I want to know how much of a hand she has in things and how good she really is. There are so many avenues to take her, and I love having moments with Troian; I want to explore that sisterly relationship further.”

At some point, we do hope that we have an opportunity to untangle the massive web that is Melissa’s life. The good news for those who do want to root for is that she almost seems to be too strong of a candidate to be causing the Liars trouble, but then again, Mona was a pretty obvious choice to be “A” prior to that big reveal.
