‘True Blood’ season 6 spoilers: Joe Manganiello talks Alcide’s … options?

While there is not much in the way of information out there about “True Blood” season 6, there is one thing we can say now based on the new information coming in via series star Joe Manganiello: Alcide is going to have quite a few opportunities to get his flirt on in the weeks ahead.

Speaking in a new interview with E! News about the story ahead, the actor tried to explain what happens to his character now, who has moved from a bit of a lone wolf (pun most certainly intended) to someone who is in a much greater position of power:

“Alcide is the pack master so there are more dating options.”

It’s a simple quote, really, but one with some interesting weight about this. For one, how is this supposed to make Sookie feel? The poor girl has had more bizarre complications in her dating life than we can even put into words right now. She was just starting to get into the guy when Eric used his glamouring powers and ordered him to keep his distance, and this is after he had his entire memory wiped away and had a very steamy fling with her back in season 4. Alcide didn’t get nearly so far, and you could say that there are some unrequited feelings there … if they ever get a chance to shine through is an entirely different story, especially when he has a chance to have so many different ladies on his arm.
