‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 6 spoilers: The tenure debate

Big Bang TheoryWhile we learned earlier this week that one upcoming “Big Bang Theory” season 6 episode is going to focus largely on Howard receiving a letter from his father, we are also going to see a different sort of conflict coming up that is something that frequently causes drama among many people within the university profession: tenure. Everyone wants it, but only a select few receive it.

So who is going to get so lucky among our favorite band of geeks? While we do not know the answer to that just yet, we can now confirm that the 20th episode of the season, which will air on April 4th, is going to be referred to (per SpoilerTV) as “The Tenure Turbulence.” This surely sounds like something that is not going to be trouble, and you have to imagine that Sheldon Cooper will once again be leading the parade of opinions every step of the way.

Now, what we would really like to see from this episode is to get a little bit more of a better understanding as to what Leonard does for a living. Maybe it is because his role in the university is drier than his co-workers, but he seems to be the person shafted most frequently of the gang when it comes to his occupation. Meanwhile, we see Sheldon at work more than we can count, and we at least have a good feel on the sort of stuff Howard and Raj work on regularly.

What do you think about the title for this episode, and do you think a battle over tenure is something that could make for entertaining television? If you want to see what Sheldon is going to be doing soon to try and coach young people, you can do so over at the link here.
