The folks over at TNT seem to be recognizing the TV event that is on their hands coming up in the funeral for J.R. Ewing, and with that in mind, they want to ensure that there are as many people as possible prepared for the March 11 episode of “Dallas” season 2, which will feature the late Larry Hagman’s legendary character put to rest.
Beginning now, every episode of the season thus far is available to stream on the show’s official site, and it will continue to be that way for until the episode airs. Following the airing of this upcoming episode, it will also join the fold of the installments available online.
In a press release, the network was also kind enough to detail just what the storyline surrounding Ewing’s funeral is going to be:
“[On] Dallas’ March 11 episode – entitled ‘J.R.’s Masterpiece’ – the Ewing clan comes together to say goodbye to J.R. Ewing, who, after a lifetime of scheming and dealing, has finally met his end. The Ewing family reels at hearing the news about J.R.’s death and is even more shocked to learn the cause. Striving to set aside their differences, J.R.’s family comes together to mourn his passing, accompanied by many characters from his past. But their tears are soon overpowered by a shocking revelation worthy of one of televisions most iconic characters. In life – and now in death – nothing is ever as it seems when it comes to J.R. Ewing.”
There are a number of surprise guest stars who will be in attendance for the service, but thus far TNT has kept all guest casting very close to the vest and has decided to not release any details. Just as there were surely tears while the cast and crew made this episode, there will also probably be many on this end, as well.
