FX’s ‘The Americans’ spoilers: Philip wants revenge when Elizabeth gets hurt by a target
Viewers have quickly taken a liking to “The Americans” and it’s easy to see why. The series brings romance, espionage, thrills, chills and some how has you rooting for the Russians, much like “Dexter” was able to get fans rooting for a serial killer to live happily ever after. Although “The Americans” can be heavy on the politics and violence, the love story between Elizabeth and Philip is heartbreaking and beautiful – we can’t get enough of it.
On Wednesday’s all new episode of “The Americans” Elizabeth will find herself in a very bad position while seducing a target. The night will end with her being strapped with a belt and when she returns home to Philip, the lines between job and husband will become blurred for him. Philip will want to exact revenge on the man that put his hands (and a belt) on his wife and will put the mission in jeopardy to do so. As much as Elizabeth will protest and tell him that it is just part of the job, Philip isn’t going to care and we foresee a very bad ending for this man, but will it hurt Philip in the end too?
In a new preview for “The Americans” (which you can check out below) Philip spins out of control over what happened to Elizabeth and by doing so he may blow his cover and become a target for the FBI, leaving Claudia, the KGB and even Elizabeth in a quandary over what to do about Philip.
An all new episode of “The Americans” called “Comint” airs on Wednesday, February 27th on FX – will you be tuning in? Be sure to check out the promo below and let us know what you think of the series so far.
