‘Teen Wolf’ season 3: MTV sets June premiere date

If you have been waiting patiently for the “Teen Wolf” season 3, you’re not alone: MTV’s most-successful drama series (and really their only drama that actually manages to keep a consistent audience) has kept viewers eagerly awaiting for quite a while now, but we finally know just when Tyler Posey and company will be back on the air again.

This week, MTV announced that the new season is going to officially premiere on Monday, June 3, which is a very appropriate night for the show to be back. Why? It is the first Monday following the May sweeps, which means that there will be as much competition from broadcast networks. Plus, it further helps to cement the status of “Teen Wolf” as a summer series, and one that is meant to be enjoyed by teens and young adults after a long day of having fun and soaking up the sunshine.

Sadly, it has not been all sunshine for the program since it last went off the air. Colton Haynes ended up leaving the series after some major confusion as to whether or not he would be doing so, and there will thus be a score of new characters introduced to try and make up for his absence right away. The character’s exit will of course be talked about pretty early on, but not exactly in a way that you would think.

“Teen Wolf” remains MTV’s most-successful scripted series, and with that in mind expectations are high for it to find a way to deliver once again.
