‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ review: Adrienne Maloof, Brandi Glanville crash a party
If there is one word that we could use to describe Monday night’s new “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” episode, it is “chaotic.” After all, we saw a number of maddening things over the course of the episode that stemmed from an event that really should be fun: Kyle Richards’ annual white party. We don’t know how exactly these ladies managed to work this out, but they consistently manage to take what should be a pretty fun event and turn it into something that was … well, not.
First things first, Kim Richards decided for whatever reason that this would be the perfect venue in which to show off her brand-new nose, as though her sister did not have any plans to highlight something else on the evening. Since when is the white party a debutante ball for people with plastic surgery?
As ridiculous as this may have been, it was largely overshadowed by a massive fracas that broke out over Adrienne Maloof, Paul Nassif, Brandi Glanville, and even Lisa Vanderpump. Brandi tried to present some sort of proof about someone close to Adrienne that was selling stories to the tabloids (shocker!), but Paul didn’t want to hear it. Instead, he just wanted to bark at Brandi for a little while as Lisa tried to compare this squabble to what she went through last season. Kyle didn’t ask anyone to leave the party, so instead we just had to sit through this.
It is almost the similarities between this and last year that make this show rather frustrating right now. It’s already bad enough that there is the same part year after year … but do we really need to see the same drama to go along with it?
